irritating stuff
I don't really like people who say they're simple. People aren't simple, and those who try to say so are trying to fool the world into thinking that they're good people. There *are* no good people in this world!
I mean, do they even realise that being simple-minded is a bad thing to say about someone? It's almost like saying you think so little about things that you might even be shallow.
And if they mean that their needs are simple... Even if you're not high-maintenance, you should profess to be. I.e. In relationships, you should make sure the person is actually willing to bear with all the stuff you do and still be with you. If you're really so simple, then you should be a hermit and live in the hills.
At least pretend to be slightly sophisticated and capable of thought.
